| Lorre (left) with Sheen at a past TCA session |
Now he has to deal with Charlie Sheen. Here's how he dealt with him Monday night, on the end credit "vanity card" where he shares a sneak hidden rant each week with viewers (you can read all of them here):
"I exercise regularly. I eat moderate amounts of healthy food. I make sure to get plenty of rest. I see my doctor once a year and my dentist twice a year. I floss every night. I’ve had chest x-rays, cardio stress tests, EKG’s and colonoscopies. I see a psychologist and have a variety of hobbies to reduce stress. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. I don’t do drugs. I don’t have crazy, reckless sex with strangers.UPDATE: Sheen responds, saying he will outlive Lorre; read it here.
If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I’m gonna be really pissed.”

Lorre has quite the dilemma on his hands. Obviously, he's concerned for Sheen's welfare but you get the distinct feeling he's reaching the end of his patience. Does he allow the continued disruption to the show's production upon which so many others rely for their employment or does he finally stop enabling Sheen by allowing him time to repeatedly go into rehab and return to the show? In the end Lorre may be doing everyone a favor if he pulls the plug.
BTW, thanks for the link to Lorre's vanite cards! For years I've wanted to be able to read them!
